Food Service I - Introduction
Course Description ~ This course provides students with an understanding of food’s role in society, instruction on how to plan and prepare meals, experience in the proper use of equipment and utensils, and a background on nutritional needs and requirements for healthy living. The class will focus on different types of food preparation, presentations, and catering events. Although this course may present career opportunities in the food service industry, the emphasis is not career related.
